I'm Rick, a Rivian R1S owner in Morrison, Colorado. I took delivery of my R1S Dual-Motor in LA Silver — Black Mountain interior with Dark Ash trim — in 2026. I work in finance, which is mostly relevant here because it means I'm unusually willing to read program terms and run the arithmetic myself rather than repeat what other sites say.
When I was researching my own purchase, I found Rivian incentive information scattered across forums, Reddit threads, and blog posts written before the September 2025 federal tax credit sunset. Most of it was no longer accurate, and some of it was confidently wrong in ways that would cost a buyer real money. I built this site to put everything in one place, with 2026 reality reflected throughout.

How this site makes money
Through the Rivian referral program, and nothing else. There are no ads, no sponsorships, and no affiliate links to third-party products.
When you use referral code RICK4348389 on a new R1S or R1T order, you earn Rivian Rewards points based on your configuration — 500 points for a Performance or Quad, 250 for a Premium with the Large or Max pack, 100 for a Premium Standard — plus 3 months of complimentary Adventure Network charging. Each point is worth $1 in credit. I earn points on my end when you take delivery.
There is no cost to you and no impact on your purchase price. The code is separate from third-party programs like the Costco Auto Program and from state credits, and generally combines with them. Rivian's own Rewards terms say rewards may not be combined with other Rivian offers unless expressly authorized, so if you're also taking promotional financing or lease cash, get the stack confirmed by your advisor before signing.
One thing worth saying plainly: R2 orders do not currently earn referral points. Only R1T and R1S do. I'd rather tell you that than let you find out at delivery.
How I keep this current
Incentive programs move constantly, and stale pages are the main problem in this category. Two federal programs expired eleven months apart in the past year, Colorado cut its credit by 78 percent, Rivian renamed every R1 trim, and Rivian joined the Costco Auto Program. Any guide that hasn't been touched since 2025 is wrong in several places.
Every page carries a fixed “last updated” date rather than a date generated at page load, so the label means something. Where a figure depends on a program that could change — Costco discount amounts, Rivian's monthly promotional offers, state program rules — I say so and point you to the primary source rather than presenting a number as permanent.
Where I'm not certain, I say that too. There are places on this site where the honest answer is “confirm this in the configurator” and I'd rather write that than invent a number that reads better.
